The location was just perfect in the Heart of Lake District, offering a great starting point for walks and drives. The dining experience was delightful, offering a good choice between sittings. Overall, it was a great stay with some small inconveniences that affected the experience.
The hotel had a lovely and warm atmosphere, which was much appreciated during the particularly grim January weather. The rooms were bright and clean, although a bit noisy at times until after 11 pm. The service was well-run, maintaining safety measures throughout our stay, but lacking a cupboard for personal items. The location offered an excellent view of the mountains and easy access to local walks and water sports, serving as a great base to explore the Lake District. The dining experience was fantastic with a wide range of options available, including a delightful surprise sandwich. Overall, a comfortable stay with minor noise disturbances in the rooms and a lack of some storage amenities, but excellent service and dining.
